ResMed introduces the Ultra
Mirage Mask, a new addition to the popular family of
Mirage® Mask systems. Renowned for superior
comfort and fit, the Mirage Mask family is a range of
truly comfortable masks designed to make life simpler
for both patients and clinicians.
Ultra Convenient
Fitting a mask has never
been this simple. All you need to do is position the
forehead support and secure the headgear straps. The
forehead support can be easily adjusted using only one
hand - making it ideal for patients with a limited range
of movement. Release clips quickly detach the headgear
from the mask, so no further fitting is required once
the straps are adjusted. Additionally, the Ultra
Mirage has a Quick Release Swivel which easily
disconnects the mask from the air tubing.
Only three Ultra Mirage
cushion sizes are needed to fit almost all patients. In
fact, the standard size fits approximately 80% of
patients. The mask is packaged fully assembled with
cushion, headgear and frame, reducing inventory costs
and fitting time.
A cushion clip provides
additional security by ensuring the mask cushion remains
firmly attached to the frame. This is important during
bi-level treatment and when high pressures are delivered
to the patient.
Ultra Comfortable
The Ultra Mirage
mask’s lightweight cushion is covered by a soft
silicone membrane specially designed to eliminate
pressure on the sensitive nose bridge. Air flowing
through the mask inflates the membrane and gently
positions it against the face, so that it forms a secure
seal without having to tighten the headgear straps. This
unique design reduces the possibility of pressure sores.
Four points of attachment between the mask frame and the
headgear enhance the mask’s stability.
The uniquely designed air
vent is built into the mask elbow so the direction of
exhaled air follows the direction of the tubing. With
360° of rotation of the elbow, patients can choose the
direction of airflow for maximum comfort.
All the materials in the Ultra
Mirage mask are latex-free, minimizing the risk of
allergic reactions.
Ultra Quiet
The Ultra Mirage
mask’s built-in air vent is specially designed to
minimize flow intensity and reduce the noise escaping
from the vent.
